how much do Alamo hold as deposit

Only 9 days to go and starting to worry about all the extras I've got car hire included with Thomas cook paid insurance ,just wondering how much deposit Alamo will put on a debit card for a mid size car thanks

Other than when Alamo screwed up, I have never had a block on my card (over 20 rentals with them). I pre-pay.

Just came back yesterday used Alamo through Thomas cook. Alamo were good all the way no hard sell as was warned and no retention on card they just swipe as long as it has credit your ok to go. Also they don't need the DVLA code they just take your driver number off the photo card.

OP. I see you say Debit Card. Be aware you probably will have a £250 hold put on your card
With credit cards I never have a hold but some others do. Never can work out why?
However Debit Cards are a different matter and normally do see a hold.
