Should I cancel
Does anyone have experience of Europcar. Have booked through Holiday Autos picking up in Miami. I have now read some bad reviews of the company. I had really bad experience in Portugal with my last hire car which was unroadworthy and it has made me a bit nervous. Problem is the full size car booked was a really good price and looking at other companies I will pay at least £100 more. If anyone has cancelled car hire how long does it take to get refund as I have pre paid or would holiday autos allow me to transfer payment to another car provider. Most people here seem to go for Alamo I notice.

There are bad reviews about every car hire. My dh used Europcar recently and aside from the long line...there were no issues. Spain, and Portugal etc. car hire is a way worse, in my opinion as they really try to rip you off..every time my family and i have went...there hasn't been a time where we haven't had to almost argue with the company for them trying to secretly add on fee's for this and that. US can be sneaky but there are ways to avoid that.
We have used Holiday Autos in the past and everything was ok. You have awhileee to go yet so if you are truly not happy and too worried. Cancel your booking with them OR at least contact them and ask how much, if any would it be to switch companies because you heard bad things about Europcar.

Thanks for that, I will keep checking prices and maybe ask to transfer to Alamo which is probably who I should have gone with to start with!
