Car Hire Query

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help please?

I have been looking through the various car hire companies as suggested in the thread above.
I have found a few where it suggests all insurance is included and there would be £0 excess if a claim were made, however it then goes onto offer Damage Refund Insurance.

£ 277.80Total price, you pay today

Included in the price
All taxes and charges
No extra charges guarantee
Theft Protection and Collision Damage Waiver

Zero excess
Free cancellation and amendment

The way I am reading the quote would suggest there isnt an insurance but am reluctant to proceed with the booking in case we get stung for extra charges should we need to claim.
Sorry if this is a daft quesion, but am confused

Thanks

All the big companies have a zero excess. However I do note that what you have posted doesn't show SLI. That is essential in my opinion. Otherwise you can end up responsible for medical claims etc.

Thank you for your replies..

I think I will just stick to Alamo Brits or USrentacar at least I know all is covered with them. They just seem more expensive than some of the others for next year.

thanks again.

Hi Tom, and sorry George to jump in on the thread, but SLI? What's that?
I've booked thru Alamo Brits, mentions CDW, and then "Extended Liability Protection ($1 Mil)"...
Is Alamo Brits "all in"?

looking on the Alamo Brits website, this is what we found to be included in the package:-

Collision Damage Waiver (USA: No Excess)
Extended Liability Protection (EP) (USA/CA: up to $1 mil)
Concession Recoup Fee 9.89%
Rental Car Facility Chg 4.85 Per Day
Tire/battery Fee .02 Per Day

No mention of whether we have to take the car back with a full tank of fuel or not.

Hi. SLI is supplementary liability insurance. It's called other things by other Companies such as ELP etc etc. It would be so much easier if they all used the same terminology.
Alamo Brits has everything you need, good value.

You can either bring back full or pay for the first tank at Savetime or at the exit barrier and bring back empty.
