Thanksgiving
We fly out on Thanksgiving this year. We know we will be able to pick up a McDonalds or Wendy's type meal on arrival night but suddenly thought ... is the following day Black Friday? If so, how manic will the likes of Walmart, Publix be for a bit of a food shop? Also the all important first breakfast! Do the restaurants get as busy on Black Friday?

Grocery stores like Publix don't do Black Friday. Walmart and Target do.

Must remember this, we are flying out hopefully either 22nd or 23rd and Black Friday is my birthday. Really don't want to be caught up in hoards of bargain hunters.

Publix do not open on Thanksgiving. Most of the sales start about 6.00pm - midnight on Thanskgiving, do not try and go shopping in Walmart it will be manic. On Black Friday you will be fine shopping for groceries. We went to Walmart on Black Friday about 10.00am shop was empty. Most people are shopping at the malls and outlets.

We arrived on Thanksgiving last year & do the same again and this year. We arrived 1 hourlater last year but by the time we got to our villa it was 9pm, we left some of our party at the villa & my husband & I went to Walmart shopping.Although the car park was pretty full, w had no trouble with long queues, most of the people go for the deals at 6 whentheshop opens for their Black Friday sale (starting thanksgiving!)
