Well I'm re-reading your trippie as part of my West Coast research. I need to apologise as it looks like I never commented first time around. I'm so much better at commenting now!

That time difference does worry me a bit. You did well to get back out from your hotel room - that would have been me in that bed and waking up at about 2am! I'm just rubbish if I'm tired.

Will remember your tip about packing thermals.

Hello, it made me smile to see this pop back up - this was such an awesome holiday, we had so much fun. Many many happy memories

That first afternoon, we were so tired - it took us ages to get onto West coast time - shame as we were too knackered to truly appreciate SF - plus the cold didnt help , we just wanted to stay in and keep warm ! And of course we had that early start - but we learned from that and now stay near the airport the night before !
