Nice first day! The fog looks ridiculous but at least it cleared for you later in the day! Nice detour into Tenderloin! Seeing a syringe would freak me out

I have marked Loris down for breakfast! It looks good

China town sounds interesting! This is where we are staying having secured a reasonable hotel. Hope its ok!

China town is amazing, it would be lovely to be based there, I so wanted a takeaway in a box like you see on the American tv shows how sad is that

Yep, our detour to Tenderloin , it's just uncanny when faced with a choice of direction we ALWAYS go the wrong way. It was ok though, it was early morning and very quiet. I imagine its different as the day wears on ...
The honey honey cafe that we were trying to find was well rated on tripadvisor so a shame we walked straight past it

It sounds like the HOHO bus was a good way to see the city, if a little cold.

Oh I know that feeling about not getting as much out of your day and ending up a bit disappointed. We felt a bit that way about Boston - we were just tired and hadn't done as much research as I would have liked. We tried to fit as much into it as we could, but there was so much more we could have done had I planned it better. Never mind, we will just have to redo it on a future trip!

the HoHo was good, we saw loads, it was just freezing !
Looking back, we did more than I realised , isnt that often the way - you focus on what you didnt see rather than all that you did get round, the planners curse I loved SF - it felt such a cool city, Would definitely go back . At least this time we had learned to stop when we were tired. We did a bootcamp trip to WDW in 2010 when i was a slave to the plan ... it just led to tired and grumpy peeps - no fun at all !
