Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista and buses

We are in Orlando for 4th - 18th April 2017 and are planning on visiting Disney and Universal.
The accommodation we are looking at is the Clarion Inn - how easy is it going to be to get buses to the parks?
Or are we better off using their shuttle service?

Do the buses and shuttle buses take ages to get to the parks?

Hiring a car is not an option for us.

Thank you

Not sure about Disney distances, only that Disney springs is about 5 min drive from the clarion.
Universal is about 20/25 min drive from clarion. Never used the shuttles as we find the times very restrictive but they are free from the hotel to universal so is an option. Buses I have no idea, not sure there is one that goes directly to universal you may need to get one to International drive then walk the last 20 mins or so.
Your other option would be using uber cars, if you download the app you can get fare estimates for any trip.

I think you would be fine using shuttles to Disney Parks but I would use Uber for getting to Universal. There are plenty of places to eat near to the Clarion Inn that you can walk to so your meals will be easy enough.

My in-laws stayed there in 2015 and they didn't have a hire car. They found the shuttle bus times too restrictive so ended up getting taxis most of the time.

The bus (50) stops right outside the hotel and goes to the TTC every 30 minutes. Takes about 1/2 hour.

Thank you all.

Are the prices on Uber pretty accurate or does it depend on how long it takes to get to the destination?

Also - what is TTC?

Uber will show rates at the time you do a quote, this changes depending on time of day and the demand for the cars, would use this as a rough guide at the moment. Once you request a car in "real life" then the price quoted will be the price you are charged.

TTC - Disney Transportation Centre, think this is the main hub where you can get Disney resort transportation from.

brekkies

Hi

Sorry don't know how to start my own thread ? maybe someone could help please...
I'm off to Clarion Inn BV mid April with fab Thomsons deal, but do I upgrade for breakfast I think it was extra £150 approx.
or is it cheaper to upgrade on arrival as only 1 adult and 2 children ?

I have also read somewhere that you automatically get breakfast anyway ?

Thank you

personally I wouldn't upgrade or eat breakfast in the hotel. I wasn't impressed with the food for example the eggs tasted very powdery. There are plenty of places close by for a much better breakfast imo. Other than that I can't fault the resort though, great choice!
