Thanks for all the responses. I've booked it for now. Depending how our budget looks nearer the time I'll either cancel or we'll go along and order more than the shakes.

Could order a starter to two to share, or some fries, or desert?
We are going for 3rd time (on DDP).
It isn't one I'd pay OOP for...although I would for the shakes!

I was very excited about it when we went but I can't say I enjoyed it as much as I'd expected.

The food was ok but was not a huge improvement over counter service to be honest.

It was a bit cold in there and I thought that the sound from the movie was far too quiet which meant there was a strange atmosphere in there.

Perhaps it was just an off day.

Agreed with it feeling too chilly (especially for a milkshake), we've only been here once but we found it too dark to see what we were eating. Plus a bit weird sitting behind other people in the cars.

It is different and something to experience for yourself though.

Especially if we order a few alcoholic drinks as well?

I'm sure this would be okay, generally though assuming service is good, when sharing meals it's polite to tip as though you've all had a main meal. Or at least that's what I've always done when sharing meals over in the US.

I do tend to over tip as I don't want anyone thinking we are skinflints, However we will be paying OOP anyway and buying alcohol which will push up tips more than DDP and soft drinks. I'm not even sure we would bother ourselves but my sister, brother in law and nephew haven't and this is a dream holiday for them so may go for their benefit but for the food not so much! 😉
