We didn't have a car and just did taxis the whole time, it worked out a lot cheaper than the insurances on the car. There are quite a few private taxis other than mears and we just did a deal before we left off etc and from AKL to universal was $13 but we gave $20 (it saves getting lost and arguments in the car! )

We've stayed on-site 3 times with no car, the taxi's have always been very reasonably priced...

Taxis are very reasonable and as stated above - often work out cheaper than paying CDW, insurance, fuel, road tolls & parking! Mears are very good and their cabs are metered too. Give them a call from your room rather than asking your concierge to call a cab for you (these are usually town cars and are much more expensive).

We've always got taxis (Mears) when staying onsite - Bell Services will call one over for you - most of the Disney hotels have a couple stationed on site.
It cost us just under $20 including tip one way to the Premium Outlets and around $30 including tip one way to the Mall at Millennia. We were quoted $45 one way to the Florida Mall. |
