Its busy but we get fastpasses for Autopia with a return time of 8.10-9.10 and the boys go off to find the restrooms. I take a look around Everything else looks really busy with long queues but the CM at Matterhorn Bobsleds is calling out that Single Rider is only 20 minutes ( while Standby is queuing round the corner and more like 45). So Andy and the boys join that queue at 7.45 and are off at 8.15

I watch these while waiting for them

We stop at Tomorrowland Terrace where ordering seems overly complicated and it’s a very long wait – the poorest CS service we encounter in the whole holiday. The only plus side is that we had remembered we had a $150 Disney gift card and that we can use it to pay for our food . The food is really pretty blah and there is a rock band that keeps popping up on the JTA stage and deafening us – you really cant speak or think straight , it’s a right racket. Jamie buys a mister fan with his Disney dollars ( which then stayed in the villa the whole time we were in Florida of no use to man nor beast!) . The boys go on Autopia and it’s a surprise hit – they really enjoy it.

Its just too busy to do anything else in DL so not wanting to risk what is a reasonably ok evening, we abandon further plans for this park and hop back to DCA.

The boys use their ToT fastpasses at 9.40 pm – no problem at all with late returns.

I missed this ToT pic from earlier in the day

how many men does it take to work a fastpass machine?

They are not fussed about Screamin and so around 1000 we exit the park , catching the end of the fireworks at DLR in the skyline.

We walk through Carsland thinking maybe its quieter , its very dramatic theming at night but still busy. The Queue for RSR is huge and a CM who we are chatting with advises us the Single Rider in the first hour of the morning is the best bet to get on if we don’t want to queue for fast passes and we are not on site guests. The Queue for Luigis is at 40 minutes so we vote to skip as we have an early start tomorrow , much to the boys horror, even earlier than today

As we are on our way out , a family give us their fast passes for Grizzly River Run which the boys go on and they really enjoy it – they just miss getting soaked by the fountain at the end so thankfully don’t have to walk home dripping wet.

A day of two halves most definitely and try as we might, we just cant seem to tour DL easily. Perhaps tomorrows early entry will be better !

We tried twice to get fp's for rsr failing both times and in the end we got there at rope drop, followed Lightning McQueen down the road and had about a 20 -30 minute wait before riding. But that was an early start and we only got to ride once, so we have to go back!

Sounds like a really great day, apart from your poor back, hope it soon felt better.

It was crazy with the crowds - I am disappointed I didnt get on - the boys said it was good but not worth a long wait in their opinion. I still have yet to get on TestTrack so one reason at least for a return trip to Orlando. Not sure that we would go back to California though

Soon recovered thank you - the ride really was bumpy though - it put me off trying primeval whirl and the Barnstormer when we got to Florida as they seem to be the same jerky style
