So DD will need a DSLR for school next year. So she’ll have our one and I’ll be getting a new one for my 50th. While we’ve got some great pics with our one I’m aware we’ve never utilised it fully.
I want to address this when I get the new one and was planning on starting a blog as I journey from novice to who knows where.
Was hoping some of you could point me in the direction of any decent amateur photography blogs for a bit of inspiration.

In addition any recommendations for blog hosting sites. Currently use Wordpress for my parent blog. Any recommendations/experiences welcome

1&1 do some pretty good Wordpress hosting options, will probably be where I end up taking my website, the other option which I can recommend from using in the past is Dreamhost who again have a dedicated Wordpress plan.

As for photography blogs I can't help you ther I'm afraid, though I'd recommend photography-on-the.net as a forum for insperation
