Please Help my Pick a camera

Hi all

Very new to photography, only ever had my phone for pics and go pro for videos, but its my birthday just before our holiday and would really like a nice camera to start experimenting

a few things thought

i dont want it too bulky

would like it to be able to video too

Would like a decent zoom

budget would be preferably under £250


any ideas?

If I was getting a new one today within your budget I would choose this one

I have a TZ70 - great camera would recommend it any day. Took video at Animal Kingdom Rivers of Light show with great results. Very easy to use and more features than you will ever need but great to play around with.
