Can anyone recommend me a fryer please?

Hi all

Looking for advice please...

DH fancies a deep fat fryer for his birthday!
We are currently used to having oven chips which are obviously nowhere near as good as fried chips (in my opinion!) so fancy a fryer to make some proper chips.

I’ve just had a quick look at the actifry but can you do other things in those too?

So do we go old school deep fat fryer or air fryer?

Thank you

I have an actifry and its great. You can make other stuff in it too. Ive done sausages, chicken and few other things. My sister uses hers all the time and there is an app with loads of ideas on it. The big benefit is its much healthier and you don't get that smell you get with deep fat fryers

We have an Actifry & it's great and versatile (not to mention healthier than frying).

It does not come close to proper deep fried chips in my opinion though!

Somewhere between oven chips & proper chips.

Slimming world chips for me, all day long.
Cut the chips as normal, but keep them dry do not place them in water for any length of time. Use fry light to coat an oven try and place the chips on the tray or trays. Give the chips a quick spray and them sprinkle liberally the chips with American chip spice. Put the chips into a pre-heated oven 20-25 mins at 220 fan.

My daughter bought an air fryer from Wilco she loves it. It was only £35.
