Florida without parks

Well, almost time to return to uk after our first trip out here since selling our own home, we have done and seen many things which I imagine the majority of uk visitors don't even know exist.
We started with a quick visit to downtown kissimmee lake toho park to see how many gators we could find, only 3 this time, in january we saw loads, and 3 cottonmouths, we went to merritt island wildlife refuge and saw more gators, turkey vultures, a tortoise walking along the roadside and an armadillo,
watched cruise ships leave port canaveral, went to clearwater and st petes beaches, been kayaking at wekeiva springs, shooting at oak ridge gun range then the florida mall, had a trip up to downtown orlando and the ace cafe, we found another place to investigate next time, shingle creek park, good for finding wildlife although there's probably plenty of that at disney! and you can either rent or launch your own kayaks from there too.
today we are going to daytona and then a beach somewhere, tomorrow will be a chill day before returning to the uk, haven't been near the parks or I drive, plenty more to see and do out here.

Looks like you are having a ball...

True to say that most people who go on holiday choose to do what they want. The old world wide web thing makes the research of options so much easier nowadays.

Enjoy
