So Bag 3 creates the roof arches, the castle entrance and doors. I finished the columns and then started to install the arches:

Castle entrance -Look to the middle right - you'll see two little frogs and a golden coronet which i forgot to mention earlier. This is a reference to Princess and the Frog:

The solid pieces that Bighal mentioned can be seen in the picture above. They have used these instead of individual bricks.

The front entrance gets worked on - some really fiddly bits here and the castle doors get added:

Finally the balustrades and portcullus arch start to give it grandeur:

So another 289 bricks and bits - Total 909 and four and a quarter hours spent on it.

So today is bag 4. This will sort the arches and the first floor (second floor if you are American). Plus some more hints at Disney characters.
Now I don't know about others who have been building the castle but I found the arches particularly tricky. I had a few attempts before I could get them to stay properly in place:

There are two on the left and two on the right.

Here's a rear shot showing the other arch pieces in place ready for the 1st floor flooring:

And so the flooring pieces start to go on:

Time to put in the light fitting:

It hangs over the tiled floor:

Now come the character hints:

A clock for Cinderella:

Bow, quiver and target for Merida:

Vase of roses and (whispering) suits of armour - Beauty and the Beast:

All these get put in place:

So another 255 pieces - running total now 1164 so over 25% of the way there. 90 minutes today - so 5 hours and 45 minutes to date.

Edited at 07:53 PM.
