And as we thought, it’s now happened. We’re just awaiting BA’s response to that now.

I’m so sorry to hear this news Louise and Jo. I really hope you can book an alternative or change the date x

My friend was due to fly to NYC with BA at the end of the week, and has just had an email to say they will process a refund.

I’m being patient. I imagine they’ll get round to emailing us eventually - am sure they’ve got a lot of emails to send and may send them in date order.

Jocat, my booking shows this -

Your flights are currently planned to operate normally, although you may wish to change your travel plans as a result of the recent disruption.

So that you can better manage your travel plans you have the following options:

You don’t have to do anything, you can keep your booking as it is.
You may be able to rebook these flights and other flights free of charge, subject to availability.
Please call us to rebook your flights.
You may cancel your booking. Refunds will only apply if the fare rules for your ticket allow it. Please call us to request this refund.

I don’t understand how the flight can run normally to Miami in two weeks time?
Hoping this changes and we can get a refund.

We have four nights hotel booking attached to ours too, was £1000 non refundable rate am worried it wont be covered (but guessing travel insurance might cover that?)

It all feels so surreal. My fear over health, family and being stuck in my house has taken over mourning my holiday. My job is also at risk as I feel many will be.

Have a look at the website of who your hotel is booked with. We are going in May and have a non refundable hotel booking, but on their website they are wavering cancellation fees until the end of April at the moment. I imagine this will be a rolling date that goes along with the us travel ban dates as and when ( or if ) they happen.
