I don't go on all the rides, I do most at Disney except Space Mountain, Mission Space, R&R, so while the rest are on those I have a mooch, go to the shops, get a drink, people watch, take some chill time in the shade or go meet a character that the others don't want to do! Same at Universal, I don't do coasters, so I generally chill in the shade with a cold drink! At Sea World I have a chill round by the dolphin nursery!

Universal has ‘family rooms’ inside the rides for rider swap. Anyone not riding can sit in there and enjoy the air con.

Is the lift after the chicken exit?

Because as far as I'm aware there isn't a lift in the queue for ToT. There's only a lift once you are loaded into the car, sat down and strapped in. Is there a separate lift after you've asked to leave the queue?
