We still haven't heard if it's cancelled or rescheduled. Managed to put off dress alterations for now but need to rearrange hair and nails. My niece has also had hers postponed and no date given.

Our school have postponed to 10th August. They said they tried to get it as close the exam results day so that most people are likely to be home/available.

We had an email yesterday and Ds’s had been postponed until 10th September. Hopefully it will go ahead for him then.

Bit of an update
one parent(s) have taken it upon themselves to organise a mini prom in their garden (they have a large house within a walled garden development) for @20 of their daughters wider friendship group. My daughter is delighted at finally getting to wear her dress & get hair/make up etc etc other parents are chipping in with food/drinks etc & being invited round on a rota to take some pics etc etc |

It’s what would’ve been prom night at school end of our road tonight but instead of the usual prom they have at the football stadium it’s an outdoor festival…..we are sat in garden now and can hear the music….DJs playing some decent tracks lol….it’s nice to know they got some celebration even if it is scaled back…..it’s all outdoors so glad it’s stayed dry, and the school liased with local council to make sure it was all above board….my daughter who is at the school said when it’s her prom she’d actually prefer this lol

Someone I know on fb who’s daughter is at a school in our area has just put all prom photos up
Apparently the school worked round it and got approval for a bubble Bit gutted for my son as his school just cancelled his Is anyone else’s school doing it before restrictions lift?

Our school have moved prom to Mon 19th, not sure it’s my ideal choice for the first day of ‘freedom’ to be with 200 Year 11 but am very pleased for the students that we can offer them their long awaited night.
