the kitchen is next on our plans too, i know roughly what i want, just not sure how much it is going to cost (and need to save up)

assuming the builder doesnt mess anything up when finishing things off in the bathroom, i'll be getting him to do the kitchen next. depending on how much it will be, we're almost ready to go anyway, just want a bit of a break from building work to relax for a while

heres the kitchen photo from rightmove, 5 years ago. i'ts had some minor modernisation (cooked hood, new stove, lights) but is still mostly original

if anyone is interested, its an elizabeth ann kitchen. i found a few bits online...

i'd like to keep it, but the use of space just isnt practical, and i need loads more cupboard space...

Wanye.

That kitchen will sell for decent money. Don't skip it. Retro is in vogue.

Going to be a balancing act. Cost to remove it nicely v what you may get for it.

I doubt with a Builder removing it that it would be financially viable. DIY yes.

anyone else done this? and how long was it before you started acting normally again? in my head, i know its completely safe and rock solid, but i'm still being careful anyway!
We were like this the few days we had acros holding our bedroom floor up - I wouldn't shut the curtains at night when it was like this. But once the beams/lintels were in I was fine again - sorry!

My mil had an elizabeth Ann kitchen!

We had a Winchmore solid oak one, dh took it out and we advertised it for free thinking it still would save us skip space but still no takers, just need the right person at the right time. I would suggest advertising it before you have it ready giving a date to give you the best chance.

Good luck

Shower is in! Can't use it yet, as the plug/drain isn't fitted, but it looks great 🙂

you'd never guess that the shower unit itself is the original one i got fitted over 5 years ago. when it was off the wall, i used some PINK STUFF on it, and it came up good as new!

hopefully this week, the toilet and sink will arrive, and we'll be finished!

2 months in, and the sink finally got fitted and plumbed in!

we're now waiting on the toilet cistern/monolith to arrive so they can fit the shiny bluetooth toilet...

waiting on the (high gloss grey) bath panel and cupboard doors to arrive, should be ready sometime soon. they took the bottom sink cupboard drawer so they could try and match it as best possible before spraying them. the cupboard doors arent straight, so they took them off so they could cut the panels to the right size

it's going to be nice to be able to brush our teeth in the sink, rather than over the bath like we've been doing since the start of may!
