Feel good day….marriage allowance…

A while ago when discussing pensions with my neighbour I mentioned the marriage allowance……she hadn’t heard of it….last week I suggested again that she ring the tax office…
Today she popped round in tears to tell me that she had called them and a 5 minute call had got them £1k and £200+ extra a year….
I’m really pleased for them……..worth the price of a phone call…

I had to google as well. I have read about being able to claim or allocate to spouse but didn’t know it was as simple as this.

I think you can claim through the HMRC…… gov.uk/apply-marriage-allowance
