Universal Tickets

Does anyone know if they swap the small cardboard style tickets for plastic / lanyard tickets at Universal?

Just received our 3 park tickets from FloridaTix and concerned they may not last the full trip, especially when going to the water park.

Not that I’m aware of. Get yourself a lanyard and pop your ticket in there then you can scan it without taking it out.

I always take a picture of mine in case they do get wet. They do stay dry in the Lanyards but obviously not designed to go swimming, once your in the water park you can just store them away.

For volcano bay you get a wristband so don't need to take the cardboard tickets near the water

Thanks all, wasn't sure if staying onsite they would do something like Disney with magic bands or the lanyards Discovery Cove/Seaworld do when they replace paper copies.

I've just heard they're getting rid of physical tickets, so would that mean getting a lanyard now would be pointless?

Pretty sure You can also scan them into the universal app and use them as e-tickets.
