Castaway Cay Snorkelling Question

Hi everyone.

My future son in law is coming with us on the cruise and he loves to snorkel.

Do I have to pre book this or can we just go up to the hut and hire the snorkelling gear and have it charged to cabin?

It’s not one of the things I’ve ever booked to do but it is always one of the options to prebook before hand. Don’t know if it would still be available to just walk up. X

Snorkelling, cycling or floats can always be paid for on the day once your on the island, I would say it’s the best way to do this as then you can choose what you want to do on the day. We take our own snorkelling kit and just use Disney’s life vest for free.

We are the same, I prefer my own kit and it doesn't take up huge amounts of space. Last year we were snorkelling at the adult beach and a pelican was swooping to feed nearby, it was really lovely. We have never done the snorkelling course (not really sure what to call it) that disney set up as it can get crowded and the vis gets affected by the silt everyone kicks up. Apparently it is best to do this first thing in the morning, but it takes me a while to want to get in the sea
