Oh my - trifle! For me, custard is an essential food group; I'm not a huge fan of raspberries as I'm not keen on the flavour, but I will eat them if there's no other choice. But trifle - I would eat this for 3 meals a day if I could! Funnily enough, we're just off to the Warfarin clinic for DH and to get there and back we have to (almost) pass an M&S Food store. So when I helpfully offer to take DH to his clinic, saving him money on parking as I can just drop him off and then drive round the block and pick him up again, he says I'm just making an excuse to go to the trifle shop! Harsh.

I’ve just had a custard and raspberry Danish pastry made by DIL 2 she’s trying them out for her Buiness it’s afternoon teas , cakes and now a lot of working breakfasts with folk returning a couple of days a month to the office
It was amazing but the apricot one was better and DH loved the cream cheese and Italian ham

Unfortunately you are just out side her delivery radius
DIL 1 had the raspberry and custard flaky pastry slice ( my mother recipe ) she said it was as light as a feather and she felt real posh as DIL1 supplies pastry forks / vintage cake stands tea cups / bistro coffee cups etc
But custard with anything is ace

This thread brings back painful memories of going through divorce proceedings with my wife. It was all quiet amicable until one night she came over for dinner to discuss how access to the kids would work, during desert she said they were going to live with her and I would barely get to see them. “I will see you in court then”. I shouted and I was so angry I picked up the trifle and just threw it across the room at her. Anyway, she got custardy.
