Recommended payment method for Uber/Lyft in US

We went in May this year, used Uber to go everywhere. We linked our Halifax Clarity card, No transaction fees. It was all good.

I linked my revolut card and used that with no issues in June

Does it appear that master card is preferred over visa then?

We arrived last night to MCO, I’m sure three years ago we used our revolut for Uber (I know we used both things last trip and sure at the same time)

Last night we could not get Lyft or Uber to accept our Revolut! Must have tried 10 times in different ways (inc Apple Pay and PayPal) and would just not work. Had to put it on my debit card attached to my Apple Pay in the end.

We used Lyft lots last week in Miami and had no problems using Applepay which has my Starling Card attached - starling is master card so could it be Visa that’s the issue and master cards are ok?

You can use it linked to Apple Pay or Google Pay, so you don't even have to add it to the app.

We have a Halifax Clarity card but used a Chase card this year with Uber and no issues at all.

Transactions appeared immediately and gets the same rate.

We have used Uber today in New York. Accepted out Fairfx card as payment no problem.

To all those that had payment issues, did you inform the provider of your travel dates? I remember last time letting nationwide know otherwise they treat your transaction as cloned.

We use our FairFx card and never had an issue. We have also used our JaJa Mastercard (ex Post Office card, no transaction fees).
