Are you sure the aircraft isn’t backwards and forwards to Miami? If you look at the arrival and departure times between BA208 & BA209 over the last few days the delays seem to tally 🤷🏻

My flight on Wednesday came in from Dallas Fort Worth (on time) but we were still around 30 to 40 minutes late pushing back.
We made that up in the air though.

We look to have been incredibly lucky when all said and done.

Enjoy your holidays folks and I hope this doesn’t spoil it for you.

No not necessarily on 4 days this week there have been at least 4 different A380's on rotation G-XLEF from Miami, G-XLEG from Jo'burg, G-XLEI from Miami and G-XLEC from San Francisco - very varied as you can see.

My internet access is very patchy so can't look into further details as it keeps crashing.

Looks like we won’t be that late taking off today. Just waiting for the last cargo hold to shut up then we are on the way. Online check in, bag drop & Security was a breeze, took longer to put the labels on the bag than it did to get through security

This was our plane home! Having already flown from MCO to Miami earlier in the day this was a very long evening.
Plane arrived 3hrs 20mins late to the UK but luckily we didn't need any further connections, just to drag ourselves to Purple Parking and a long drive home hitting Friday rush hour.

Small delay today for aircraft maintenance but boarding completed at 2pm, then another delay waiting for baggage and push back but finally on our way now…

Finally pushing back now….

We flew on the BA208 from Miami last night. Left on time and good flight. Had a slight delay as we arrived early and another plane was at our stand. Longest delay was collecting luggage as we waited 40 minutes. We had no issues with Heathrow or BA this trip and would definitely continue to use them if price ok.

Ours was from Heathrow.
The delay in Miami on our return was because late arrival of the Aircraft from Heathrow.

It flew to Miami, cleaners and reloaded, departing again less than 3 hours later..

We got delayed coming back from Miami Monday night due to emergency maintenance on the plane before it departed Heathrow. And passengers had checked their luggage in but not boarded. So they had to remove their luggage from the hold.

Bonkers.
