Easter parades '23
Where do you wait for parades?
How often are they? How do you find out about them? Best place to stand for them? How long in advanced to stand and wait for them? Any Easter parade pics from this year? Thanks! X |

There is the main parade at 5pm each day, there might be another small parade but you’ll need to check this on the info timetable. You can pick one up in multiple languages on the way in under the DLP train station just as you’re going into the park. All the info & times will be in there for the week.
We love standing around central plaza area or at the area in front of the entrance to Frontierland these make brilliant pics as you get the castle in the back round. You need to stake out a place early though as these are popular areas. Also we like the area where the parade route starts, facing Pizzeria Bella Notte, in Fantasyland at the side of IASW. I’d go about an hour/ 50 mins before hand for those places though especially at Easter time.

Only for those areas & to get right at the front would need an hour before hand. We also get snacks & just sit & wait but we’re never usually there at busy times so go a bit later than that.

Granted, we don't go at Easter, but we never wait more than 15 minutes for a parade. There is usually space in Town Square in front of City Hall. Granted, you might not be in the front but you can still see. And people are often willing to let little ones squeeze in front (though not their parents!)

I went at Easter in 2017 and didn't wait longer than 20 mins for the main parade. We sat near the start of the parade route, by IASW / Bella Notte, and there was always plenty of front row space. Good time to get the snacks out 😂 Same place and timing for May half term this year.
The other parades, like Easter parade, usually run a shorter route along Main Street I think. I don't know how seasonal parades might intersect with the 30th anniversary parade which may still be on next Easter? That one runs about 4x a day. When we did Easter (years ago!) there were two seasonal parades (Goofy's garden party and Minnie's spring train) which both ran a couple of times a day I think. |
