Undercover tourist

I am paying for my tickets with my credit card and its asking for payment in dollars or converted to sterling,what is the best to do ?

Whichever works out cheaper for you if you can work that out, maybe pay in sterling so there is no exchange fee

when i am abroad i always choose the local currency as its a better rate (usually)

You should always choose local currency when using atm or buying with credit card.

If you have a specialist card like halifax clarity, chase, starling etc, pay in the local currency, otherwise you should work out what fee etc you card will charge and see what option works out cheaper.
