Somewhere Christmassy in Europe with teens?
Last Christmas I was in hospital, and then home recovering from a major op, so we didn't really get to do anything.
We have an extra long weekend free at the end of November as they both have training days. We we're going to New York but BA cancelled one of our flights and we just got a refund, so will do that another time, I don't fancy another long haul so close to Florida. Can anyone recommend a good city break in Europe that will feel really Christmassy? So a good Christmas market, but also with other things to see/do? Likely go for 3/4 nights? I've done loads of European cities, but never at Christmas! We've done DLP at Christmas but the cost is way too much this year. I did consider Efteling, but I think the weather in the Netherlands in November is very wet so not sure that we would get many rides done! Thanks in advance!

Copenhagen - lots to see including little Xmas markets in different areas and Tivoli Gardens is very festive especially at night.
We have also visited Vienna in early December and really enjoyed it. |

Berlin - fabulous city. Lived there for 3 years just before the Wall came down. Public transport is fantastic and the Christmas Markets and shopping are out of this world. Not the cheapest place on the planet, but definitely worth a visit.

Munich is lovely and when we went in December we hired a car for the day and drove out to Neuschwanstein Castle which was stunning!

I'd second Munich as above, it's one of my favourite cities!
Budapest is a great value option, they have lovely Christmas markets and decorations. Lots to do like the thermal spas, river cruise, castle, zoo etc. Although the locals are very grumpy haha. |

Stockholm is a gorgeous city and very walkable. We went in November and we had great weather. Very cold but bright sunshine then some snow on one of the days. It was very pretty and Christmassy.
We stayed at the Haymarket by Scandic hotel which was in a fantastic location and very central for everything. |
