Interesting.. not been to the one in Winter Haven, will have to give it a try. We found the one in Haines a little bit lacking in attention to my wifes' coeliac.

Very much so. I will not pay the prices expected in parks for even Pizza, Dogs, Burgers and Wraps with fries and a drink.
We eat breakfast before going out, take a packed lunch into the parks and practically always eat out in the evenings.. but never on site. There are great restaurants offsite from budget to fine dining!

Totally agree and that's same for us. Like the convenience of a packed lunch too when in the parks.

Yeah I've no doubt. It's the cost in transportation that's putting me off offsite at the moment, we're planning offsite in a few years but as this is our first trip and possibly only to do Disney and Universal we were hoping to stay onsite to do the fully immersive experience just once. That said if we find an offsite deal that does seem better value for money vs onsite I'd absolutely consider, but as we are all quite light eaters there seems to be very little difference in costs onsite vs offsite from where I'm looking.

IMO staying offsite is much cheaper than onsite and you have alot more choice for things like places to eat etc

Eating at Bahama Breeze, Longhorn, Yardhouse, Olive Garden, Red Lobster etc, I would expect to save 50% on a starter, main and Sodas.
Eating at Cici, GoldennCoral etc, then I would save more. I am basing this on comparison with restaurants in Disney Springs as I haven’t troubled the Disney Parks by my attendance in many years. (We always have an afternoon and meal in DS).
