I have to agree with this, it's one of the reasons I started this thread. The quality of the food, the standard of cooking, the variety of the menus and the difference in price are all vastly superior offsite.

Eating out is something they do very well in the US and for me is a big part of any visit to the country, either in Florida or elsewhere. Personally I think that eating on-site at Disney means you completely miss out on that.

Thanks again to everyone who's replied to this thread, some great suggestions - a lot of places I'd never heard of or never considered before.

Really interesting thread! We were looking at breakfast options just last night and we were wondering if Bob Evans have survived? We have used Golden Corral a few times in the past but the mayhem outweighed the $savings and we drifted away from buffets. I guess buffet meals are suspended?

Interesting to hear that people are rating Hash House - we ate in a Hash House in Vegas and it was quantity over quality. Have always assumed that they are like that all over.

Bob Evans has very much survived. Had our regular Thanksgiving dinner there last November and breakfast there every few days. We use the one on 27 opposite Posner - best for us from Highgate Park.

Our favourite places to eat off site are:
Cheesecake Factory
Millers Ale House
Carrabbas
Smokey bones for the most amazing corn bread 😜 plus the boys love the ribs!
Olive Garden because I love the salad & bread, its nothing fancy but good for how cheap it is 👍🏻👍🏻
This year we are planning on trying Bahama breeze 👍🏻👍🏻

Anyone looking for a “luxury” breakfast buffet would enjoy the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel offering. It’s fab, I have 4/5 courses which keep me going until the following day (I exaggerate &#128536. I eat there 2/3 times per holiday, I love a good breakfast.

Would you recommend Rosen Shingle Creek for Christmas day lunch/dinner? Thank you.
