Family Trip August 2022

Finally feel like we might make it to WDW this August, after two previous attempts that have been abandoned due to Covid.

Current plans - would appreciate thoughts. We are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort for the most part with a short trip to Royal Pacific Resort to benefit from the express passes. Park days aren’t necessarily full ones - we may head back to the resorts for a chill and to escape the heat and head back out later.

Aug 18 - Arrive at MLB, travel to CBR. Booked Epcot as thought we could hop on the Skyliner. Hoping to get an ADR at Via Napoli for dinner.

Aug 19 - Magic Kingdom day - ADR at Tony’s - 18.00

Aug 20 - Epcot - ADR at Hacienda de San Angel 19.00

Aug 21 - Half day at Hollywood Studios with pool/water park - ADR T-Rex 19.00

Aug 22 - Animal Kingdom - ADR Yak and Yeti at 12.30

Aug 23 - Half day at Hollywood Studios then pool/pack - ADR The Boathouse 18.30

Aug 24 - Islands of Adventure - looking to book Toothsome/Cafe 4

Aug 25 - Universal - Mel’s Diner/Big Fire

Aug 26 - IOA/Universal - Three Broomsticks and then Cheesecake Factory en route to CBR

Aug 27 - Chill day, will likely book Epcot and try for Guardians. ADR O’hanas 10.00 and Raglan Road 18.30

Aug 28 - Epcot ADRs at Space 220 12.00 and Teppan Edo 19.00

Aug 29 - Magic Kingdom and Firework Cruise

Aug 30 - Hollywood Studios ADR Homecoming 18.30

Aug 31 - Animal Kingdom ADR Tusker House 10.00

Sept 1 - ADR Topolino’s 8.30 then home.

MNSSHP has thrown me a curveball. Has anyone been before?

Wondering about booking a different park earlier in the day/lazy pool morning beforehand. Need to switch 30th to allow attendance. Considering doing the dessert cruise earlier in the trip and dropping Tony’s. Any advice?

I haven't got much advice - only to say we've been thrown the same curveball. We've had to switch our MK days as they were all the same dates as MNSSHP! Also, we are staying at CBR at the same time as you 🙂

It’s annoyed me being on 16th as we arrive that day and staying at GFV. Ours plans were to walk to mk and see the castle on our first night (never done a park on the first day with the kids). Ah well.

Em4owen - it seems that you’re also going for a third time lucky visit. I have my fingers crossed.

I think I have everything replanned now. Still sticking with a first day at MK as we will be up early and will likely crash so going to head to DS on the evening.

Going to go to MNSSHP on the 30th so moving the back end round a bit too

27th - will head to MK for the fireworks cruise after a lazy morning

28th - still Epcot

29th - Animal Kingdom

30th - Epcot (try and get Guardians) and then MK for the party

31st - Hollywood Studios
