I have a small on-airport car for the end of August which was £680 when I booked it for a 14 day hire back in Nov last year. I don't normally bother to check prices but I did when they went up this time. At most it was £1200, so almost double and I've just checked again and it's £1100.

I think there's still some deals to be had that work out cheaper if you avoid an airport to airport hire and use a non-airport location in between.

Edit; Here's my post from when I booked with more info https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1203793
Ah I see, mine is with hertz pickup at the Kissimmee office so similar sort of loophole deal found. I'd rather pick up at MCO if I can so waiting to see if prices come down.

Mine has come down a whole £3! Still now just below £1K so can't complain! Hoping it continues to decrease.

Thanks for posting this I wouldn’t have known how to check otherwise, I’ve just amended our booking and saved £167 🤩

Overnight ours has come down from £645 to £572.

12 days, intermediate suv, pick and drop off Miami International airport with Alamo. Booked through Andy and just amended online.

I just checked the DFCH site again today for my dates in September and it's dropped a little further. Still above the current price I have locked in but I am hoping to move my booking to Alamo.

Anyone booked with ebookers Alamo and know if second driver is included. About £80 difference between it and Alamo Brits. Which is significant when we already near double what we paid in Feb 22.

If it doesn't say it normally wouldn't be, also check your insurance with ebookers, some of there insurance provides much lower SLI cover.

Me too. Alamo has dropped quite a lot in the last few days so keeping fingers crossed.

Just amended our standard SUV booking with DFCH for next week because it had dropped by £230!

It's worth checking 'til the last minute!
