I have seen some direct flights with TUI to Salzburg from Manchester - 10/6-17/6 for £380pp, is this good for the time of year and Salzburg?

Not sure as never been!

Hi there. Can't comment on price of flights as I've only ever been on a package.
Salzburg will be lovely in June as it isn't peak season but everything will be open. I've been to Austria in June and had lovely weather but rain is always a possibility.
I saw some of the Sound of Music locations 40 years ago, we had great fun singing along on the coach.

This is one of my main reasons for wanting to visit! 😍.

How much did you pay for a package to Salzburg if you don’t mind me asking? These flights are to stay for 7 nights, I was thinking we could go on the train to Vienna and saw Viator did day trips to Hallstatt also. The hotels I looked at were coming out at about £300 also for 7 nights for 2 of us, so the whole package would be about £600-700

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I have only been on package holidays to Austrian resorts via Salzburg Airport, not actually stayed in Salzburg itself. I would say that A week in Salzburg for 2 people at £600-700 sounds very good and I am very tempted...

Oh my! Romantik is gorgeous. Food is fab and really enjoying afternoons in the spa before tea. Even had a few visits from Maxi. Done lots of walking using the Summercard and been to Kaprun a couple of times. Did the gorge walk today. Caught the train to Salzburg and had a super day mooching around

So pleased you are enjoying it! I am really missing that lovely place… so green, so peaceful, and restful.

Another random question- can you ask for schnitzel if you are struggling with the menu options one night? Thanks, Sarah

I think they will do their best to accommodate you. At the tables next to us someone had a lot of dietary restrictions and they were very helpful and another family had children who wouldn't have anything off the menu. They never seemed to have a problem getting something else.
