Well May have spoke to soon….yes took an hour and 20 mins to get thru to Netflights but after giving them our preferred route home (mco to man) direct instead of Miami Heathrow Manchester or Miami JFK Manchester they spoke to BA and we are flying Aer Lingus direct so much better. Will have to talk to Alamo once we are there about taking the car back to Mco instead of Miami but think that should be ok

Yes that was we we should have been on 3/9 heathrow to manchester.

We are booked direct with BA (avios points) are now coming back 3/9 landing 4/9. Hope you got sorted?

That's exactly the swap we managed to sort out a few weeks ago. We're here now and pleased i don't have to drive down to Miami. I did enjoy Alligator Alley on the way up though.

Have you told the car company you are returning to Orlando instead of Miami ? If so what was there reaction, I am hoping Alamo will be ok

We changed before leaving and I had to cancel and rebook my US Carhire booking. Thrifty charged me $50 for a one way rental.

I think I've read that Alamo aren't bothered where you drop it.

Too late for us to change as we fly Tuesday and uscarhire are much more expensive now for the 8 seater I booked

Heathrow Airport today announced an extension of the passenger cap up to the end of the summer season on 29th October. It isn't known at the moment whether this will cause any further cancellations of flights in the next few months - so keep an eye on your bookings and emails just in case.
