Salou with adult wristbands and a 21st. Salou June /July 22.Day 6.The big day,Bosc adventura, & out

Monday 4th July.

Index

The big day, Jess turns 21.
I had a little moment first thing, thinking about Mum and missing her today.
Jess was under instructions to come to our room before breakfast. We had left her presents at home but I brought her card with a bottomless brunch voucher and a birthday sash/badges with us.

We all went for breakfast.

And then to the upstairs bar for a toast to Jess and Mum.

Jess and I had cava and orange fanta.
We discussed the plans, Matt wanted to hire jet skis but you could only book online which didn’t appeal to us.
Then go karts but we actually said going to the little adventure park nearby followed by ice creams on the front was the best option.
We have walked past here but never been in. It’s called Bosc Adventura and I would recommend.
It’s just off the main road, well signposted and through a lovely little park, with a bar.

They have go ape style courses, four levels of difficulty plus trampolining, paintball and archery, all shaded and excellent value.

The children chose the dark blue course, the second most difficult.
They got strapped in and shown how to move along.
Jess wasn’t very good at first and Matt said he would follow her around and catch her. 🤣

Some photos of the course.

Jess took ages getting to the next part on this rope swing.

This was the second zip wire, one in the middle of the course and this one at the end.

I took videos of the zip wires that I can’t upload.
They had a great morning and we would visit again.
It was too hot for trampolining so we walked to the front to get an ice cream.
It was an American style bar.
Matt and I had strawberry cheesecake and the children had brownie.

They were €7 each.
After a lovely morning, back at the hotel we had snacks.

We stayed around the bar area, Jess, Charlie and I had another late swim, although earlier that the previous day as we had to get ready for dinner.
It was just as good.

I left Matt downstairs to get ready.

I popped into the restaurant to put a banner on the table and check the cake was there.
A quick pre dinner drink.

Our table was booked for 8.

It was buffet style for starters.

I had chicken with barbecue sauce.

I asked for the cake to be brought over before the children went to get desserts as I didn't want them to be too full.

The waiters sung happy birthday.
They also brought the Prosecco over now, would have preferred that as we got there but we all had a glass and slice of cake.

It was delicious. I knew we wouldn’t eat it all as we were leaving the following day but I just wanted a little something.
We took a large slice for later and left the waiters the rest.

Matt paid, him and Charlie had a cider which isn’t included and we wanted to tip as well.
We really enjoyed the meal.
Jess and I went to the outside bar, Matt popped the cake and Prosecco in the room fridge.

A photographer was about, I wanted some photos, Jess said she wasn’t bothered but I made her. She took a variety and I chose 3. They aren’t brilliant quality but at only €6, I’m happy with them. I never print photos now. We were told they would be ready in the morning before we left.

We had a couple of drinks and left the hotel to go out, out.
A birthday shot first.

We were planning on going down to the seafront but in the way we saw the little car near the hotel called the ski hut was open.
This has been there for years but we have never seen it open before. And even better, it had karaoke.

Always take the sunnies

Only two other men were in there, one was singing. Matt got drinks and I put my stage name down, Sapphire Sparkle 🤣
I was called and first song was Meghan trainor, all about the bass. I got a free shot.
Jess and I then sung scouting for girls together, one of my favourite memories.
A very bad screenshot of us.

More people were coming in now. We had another drink, a gin type bomb.

The host asked me to sing again so I chose you never you tell by chuck berry.
Now, I know I can’t sing but I do the moves and pretend I can. 🤣
On our way out a group of people said I was really good which made me very happy.
We walked to Burger King, not for me but the others were hungry. I was still snap chatting 🤣

Jess has a nickname, the birth giver for me.
Back at the hotel, we had a Prosecco on the balcony and fell into bed.

A belated happy birthday to Jess! What fabulous memories she will have off the day! I am not sure I would do the Go Ape course (much better with my feet on the ground) but my kids would love it!

What a fantastic birthday for Jess, lots of great family memories made on this trip 💞 You are so brave singing karaoke, I couldn’t do it and no one would praise me afterwards if I did 😂

Thank you. Unfortunately I didn't take trainers, so couldn't go on the go ape.
It was a good course, they would do the red one next time.
