We use Triangle parking as its right next door to CPS and the ship but a lot cheaper. I know there was an issue once when the boat show was on(think it was Sept) but we have had our pick of parking spaces whenever we have used them. We have them booked again for January, May and will be booking for November too. 👍

We booked the Village Hotel at Eastleigh but have since changed it to Basingstoke. It was a saving of £100 but means about a 50 minute journey on the morning of the cruise. Stayed at Eastleigh last year and it is a very nice modern hotel. Prices were extortionate with it being the boat show. Have never paid more than £60 for a Village Hotel.

We have booked CPS this time but I would have no hesitation in parking on West Quay shopping centre for £35 for the week. At least there is security and it is under cover. We had a nightmare with Triangle (it was September !) it is just a public pay and display car park with no designated spaces for pre bookings and we arrived ( along with about a dozen other cars) to no space. Customer service was non existent, there was no security as stated on the website and we paid something like £80 for the week to be told to just abandon the car not in a space. Never again !

We used them before. But the Facebook group suggests it's common to turn up and not be able to find a space which is a worry!

We also stayed at the village Eastleigh last summer. It’s coming in at £186 a room and I need two…. I know this is because it’s last minute, but I’m a but stuck. Think we might have to stay further out and drive in but then that makes the parking more tricky.

I booked Eastleigh back in February and it was £150. I kept checking to see if prices reduced then I would cancel but all they did was increase ! The village in Basingstoke is about 50 minutes out, Eastleigh is about 20 so it’s only 30 minutes difference.
Village also have Lots of offers if you have joined their Revolution club, the offers show when you log in.

I also looked at airbnbs before I swapped to Basingstoke. I wouldn’t want to pay so much for the Village either.

I would consider the West Quay shopping centre parking if you are really struggling. It’s a multi storey, has security and is under cover and cheap ! I don’t think it is any more risky than parking in a multi storey at the airport. We did book CPS in the end but I will consider West Quay in future, particularly for a last minute cruise.

We have booked the cruise and stay package at Novotel they include a taxi to the port. We also use the Best Western Chilworth Manor which also have a cruise and stay package and provide a taxi to and from the port whilst the car sits at the hotel.

Hi Bev, there's a Holiday Inn at Nursling and also a Premier Inn at Rownhams, not sure if you've looked at either of those?

Premier Inn North in Nusrsling is our first choice if the price is right. We usually eat at The Old House at Home in Romsey - always had a nice meal.

Thanks all. We've booked the ibis. Very basic but will do the trick and they offered parking for £5/night.

So one less thing to worry about.

Was supposed to be in Malta today so a bit fed up.
