It was a great day, thank you. The Isle of Wight is beautiful and I'd like to spend a week there sometime.

We went from the ferry to Morrisons in Newport for breakfast and to get picnic food. Then to the Needles, we didn't stay long as it was very busy and the queue for the chair lift was similar to Slinky Dog! We took the Military Road to Ventnor as you suggested and stopped off at a few beaches and viewpoints. Finishing at Ventnor for a picnic on the beach and icecream from Crave. Great tip!

I had Shanklin (thanks Amanda), Appley Beach and Cowes on my list but we didn't have time for everything. We'll have to go back!

We’re going across for the day tomorrow - we’re staying with friends in Hythe for the weekend so they’ve planned the day out - really looking forward to it.

Ah I’m glad you had a lovely day.

The needles has been very busy this week, it’s quieter after 3pm but that doesn’t help you
