Manchester airport premier inns
Hi,
Still got a while to go 😁 but when I can in a couple of weeks I’m going to book the premier inn at Manchester airport for the night before we fly. There is 2 but they look right next to each other, is one any better than the other? We’d need a family room. Thanks |

North is better than South. North is newer, has in room air conditioning and has a restaurant and the building is overall nicer in appearance.
South is older, a little more run down and doesn't have in room a/c. Seeing reports it doesn't have restaurant and you have to go North side but the official page and Trip Advisor says it does so not sure Only stayed North, staying South in a few weeks. If you can, stay North side, though if you want to save some money then stay southside as it is often cheaper. Nothing really wrong with it, just no air conditioning if staying the summer then the rooms can get pretty toasty. But yes they are positioned opposite each other and share a car park. North: South: Edited at 07:07 PM. |

We always stay in the North one as well. Rooms are always really clean and it is really easy to get to the Airport the next morning.

Nells, check out Heald Green PI too, much smaller with free overnight parking and attached Beefeater, one mile from JetParks long stay parking. I get a kick watching incoming aircraft going overhead before hitting the runway a few seconds later - aircraft noise stops around 11pm when the airport closes. Heald Green town is walking distance with some good places to eat, check out Sols reviews. Heald Green railway station is about 250 yards from the PI if taking a 4 minute train to the airport.

We have just started staying at the one at Cheadle which shares a carpark with a Beefeater and a TGI Friday. We are going to be there in a couple of weeks and it’s half the price of the North / South airport ones and just as conveniently located. Free parking as well.

There’s also a new IBIS opening which is apparently a couple of mins walk to T2 - worth a look, it seems to be around £80 per night
