Here now! Cosmic Rewind VQ

Well we’ve arrived and I’m sitting in my hotel room waiting to hopefully book a 7am Cosmic Rewind VQ slot.

We’re not actually due to go to Epcot until about 4pm. Could someone confirm that if I get an early boarding group that I can actually use this any time in the day?

Wouldn’t want to waste it. 🙂

This is my fear as well - I know on another thread when I asked I was told it’s definitely ok to turn up later than your allocated slot, but like you I’m concerned that I’d get a really early one, knowing full well I won’t be in the park until late afternoon & im worried that that would be pushing it too far.

So we got a virtual queue on Saturday for about 10am. We arrived into the park and it had been brought foward, and we were a little late, however the ride was down,we’re told to just keep watching our ap or the boards for when it restarts. So we went to club cool, it restarted, so went back, but it had stopped again. Cast members said to carry on with our day, so went to Figment and Living with the land, got a snack, it was about 1pm so checked and the ride was back on. So off we went, the main party had to wait 1 hour to ride, whilst we had 2 who were waiting for rider switch.
So in my opinion due to the amount of times it goes down, they have no clue, why you are late to ride.
Amazing ride, and will try again. It was our first day and were unsure how some of the younger kids in our party would react, 2 7 year olds, 1 loved the other hated due to the speed and the loudness, so quite a sensory overload.
To me it was a vastly superior Space Mountain, so smooth, and visually stunning.

Advice would be if you're going to the park late, then to book at the 1pm opening rather than the 7am one I suppose. That way it guarantees you a afternoon/evening slot.

In my experience (booked it twice) you get an early ish call time when you join the queue at 7am. We were called at 9.10 only ten minutes after park opening and the second time at about 11.30. At 6.59 I counted 60 seconds and hit join queue after I had counted. I was told the slots go in around 50 seconds of opening!

do you still need to be at a Disney hotel to be able to do this?

You’ve never had to be for the GOG virtual queue.
