I'd declare it on your holiday insurance, shouldn't be any extra to pay, but you might get charged a tenner for changes to the policy.

I’ve only ever had this once, right at the beginning of the first lockdown so had no choice but to self treat.
Soaked frequently and followed YouTube videos and after a few goes with nail scissors managed to remove it.

I had that as well - makes me feel sick just thinking about it

Oh bless her both my boys suffer from this
We went to the chiropodist just recently as it was going red again
She cut the nail away down the side and removed the ingrowing part
Eased it right off and it’s back to normal color today

Had mine surgically removed only for them to come back…..
Salt water usually does the trick these days.

Surely if you've seen the triage nurse it will be recorded? Ours need eleventy million bits of information before you can even pass the reception desk.

Nope - just a hello and whats the issue

Its a minor injury walk in centre - you only get put in the system if the triage nurse deems you worthy.

Good news - here very red toe is now a lot more pink although not perfect.

Hi, no advice re toe. Just wanted to say I work in a gp surgery and we get electronic clinical notes from 111 calls and minor injuries etc. Has contact details and nature of call/visit. Gets filed into patient notes. Even if just given advice, we still get notification. I’d be surprised if they didn’t take your daughters details before giving any advice. She could be diabetic and prone to foot issues.

Hope it goes well and you don’t have any issues. We always had ear infections or chest infections (one with asthma) with our kids. Cost us a fortune over the years at Walgreens!

Thanks for the concern. They didn't take our details. All is good.
