We stayed there for 5 nights from the 9th July - we were in Casitas and obviously were first to the bus. Bus was never full leaving the resort and we went as various times of the day. Only delay was at Disney Springs getting back to the hotel.
It is a pain trying to get from the parks to Disney Springs and back to the parks again. You have to have a two stop strategy to do this.
OP just to note, depending on when they go in May the cheerleaders are usually in situ in CSR for some weekends then.
Have never slept in a more comfortable bed! It was heaven as were the pillows.

We were there for 5 nights in July - agree with everything that’s been said .We we’re in Casitas had no problems with buses and Ubered off site some
days for breakfast and to Walmart and IHOP .
The beds WERE super comfy as were the pillows .It’s a quiet resort despite its size .
I wouldn’t recommend the QS El Mercado though - if they have room credits I would advise they spend elsewhere .
The lobby is Stunning.

Fantastic choice but I would say that as we are there next year! Have stayed there before but not since the tower was built. It’s a beautiful resort but very large. If you are on the far side it’s a fair trek to the lobby area but a very pleasant walk. As others have said it’s by far the best moderate resort IMHO.

The new bridges make that walk much shorter now.

We've stayed a couple of times now, we love the resort and the price point is great for what you get. The resort is well centred within the disney property so no park is that far away, it doesn't only have a bus service (no skyliner) but the buses are frequent and no different from other disney hotels.

The resort has a deluxe feel with the tower being built, if they can afford to stay in the tower it is a lovely treat however the rooms are partically the same in the other sections too they just have the external corridors like the other moderate resorts.

There are some great dining options at CSR, three bridges especially is one of our favourites. There are also 2 gyms at the resort which you do not get at other moderates.

A lot of people say the resort is big but we found CBR more hard work than CSR as the bridges link all the areas across the lagoon. The rooms are modern in style which we prefere a lot of the rooms now have a shower only so if a bath is important they will need to note it on their booking. The beds are amazing!

We stayed at CSR for a week in May and it’s a lovely resort.
We were in Ranchos 7B and it only took a couple of minutes to get to the bus stop.
The bus service was fine we never waited long for a bus.

The room was nice and beds comfortable.

I would agree with Inky1 about the QS food area it really isn’t good.

The area of Ranchos we were in was looking a bit tired and some of the rooms were being refurbished including the one next to us which only bothered us once which was when they were drilling after 10pm.
Husband wasn’t particularly impressed with the fact they seemed to dump everything a few feet away from our room.

Apart from that it was fine and we would stay there again but I think we would go for a preferred room.

Yes that’s right but in fact I used to love the walk around the lake in the morning to get our Danish pastries!

Regarding large groups of Cheerleaders. We were at CSR in late January/early February of this year. During the end of our stay huge bus loads of Cheerleaders arrived at the property and were staying in the Ranchos area of the resort. We took a stroll one evening around the resort and the screaming and shouting coming from the Ranchos was insane. There were no adults supervising them whatsoever. How any other guests staying at Ranchos were supposed to enjoy their stay is beyond me. The fact that Joshie1 mentions that they are still arriving in July, makes me think that this is their go-to resort because of the convention centre on site. This also had a knock on effect with the resort buses being quickly filled with Cheerleaders. However, more buses were assigned to the resort. They had no choice really, as one night coming back from Disney Springs the Cheerleaders filled two entire buses.

But as others have said, it's a truly beautiful resort that's had a lot of money spent on it in the last few years. All rooms are refurbished and it offers Deluxe resort facilities that you don't find at any other Moderate resort on property. We would definitely stay there again.

Just got back after staying 2 weeks there. We loved it. The Disney transportation system is brilliant and very efficient. We were impressed by it. Longest trip was probably Magic Kingdom about 20/25 mins. Closest we’re Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Disney Springs and Typhoon Lagoon within 20 mins too and Blizzrd Beach even closer but closed at the minute. We also got Lyft to a few offsite places with decent prices.

We also stayed in the Tower with a water view. It was amazing!
