You may have even inspired me to do one from MCO to Highgate Park because it would work for Formosa Gardens, Emerald Isle and Sunset Lakes as well but I'd better wait until we land at terminal C in November and see if they have car hire then. My friends at VTP don't know yet.

I made this for you guys, so your DD takes you coast line side and get some brunch, avoiding tolls.

We left South Beach at 2pm last week and it was a non stop journey out.

Thank you so much. That was really kind of you☺️ Is that all still applicable from the hotel?
Update today, DD says we are taking the quickest route. Maybe I will get the route with better views on the way back😂

We stayed there 3 weeks ago before doing the drive up to Orlando. We left at about 10am as hadn't arrived until 1am so needed to catch up on sleep!
We drove right up the 17 and 27 and hit no traffic at all. Was a really easy drive.

If you are sat in the car and leaving the hotel at 6am onto whichever route you decide for the first part of the journey you should be past West Palm Beach by 7am which gives you a head start on the traffic. Port St Lucie will be your first Service Plaza, the next is Fort Drum and the last one is Shell near Orlando. That is only three chances for coffee/toilet along the whole route, think carefully before you decide that you can wait for the next one. Leave the Turnpike at the junction with the 417. If you get off at the one before, you join the Osceola Parkway and the tolls on there will make your eyes water compared to the 417.
