Mount Dora

Have booked a couple of nights in Mount Dora early November. Leavings our daughters and son-in-laws and Grandkids for a break from the madness 🤣 of the parks. Any tip and ideas late 50’s early 60’ 3 of us.

Mount Dora is a quaint town with some nice walks and some shops and eating places. There is a lake boat ride that you can go on. There is also a lighthouse with some walks nearby. On the outskirts there is also a huge flea market which I recently saw on YouTube. We enjoyed a walk for an afternoon.

To be honest we both thought that the lake ride was a bit more interesting than the better known one at Winter Park. The MD one tends to go through a few canals as well through residential areas. We were only in our early 70's when we did it.

There's also this but we haven't done it.

We went on the self-drive, escorted Catboats at Mount Dora - huge fun and very fast!

We also did a short seaplane trip over the surrounding area. We stayed up much longer than we should have done too

Check out my trip report in my signature, the 2017 one.
