Here now - Typhoon Lagoon

Inclement weather so sat here in our cabana hoping for some short queues later. Although not confident and I think that this might be it for the day.

Anyone thinking about Typhoon Lagoon here are my thoughts.

With closure of Blizzard beach this is the busiest I have ever seen it. Literally twice as many people today (pre inclement weather). Lazy river heaving. Pool chocker (unless you are brave enough to swim out deep). Rides 30 mins plus at 10:30.

Disney should be giving some kind of discount cos to me it looks like blatant cost cutting and profiteering. Blizzard Beach should be open. No excuse Disney.

On the positive side…we have loved having a cabana for the first time. Made the whole experience so much more enjoyable particularly given the crowds.

We were also there today. Went for it opening and walked through the gates at 9.55am. Watched people run for loungers as soon as they let people
through. No need - we walked any got loungers no problem and in the shade with an umbrella. If you arrive an hour or so later than opening your struggling to find anything though!

I agree it was really busy. We managed to get all the popular rides done by 11.30am with the only wait of more than 5 minutes being crush and gusher, which was around 30 by the time we did it. We left about 1pm after 3hrs. This is always more than enough for us.

Disney only having 1 water park open at peak summer is definitely impacting crowd levels.

Bizarre …. We returned today after a three week trip and both visits to TL I found far quieter than usual, we queued for no longer than 15 mins for anything. I did think that MK was suddenly getting silly busy over our last few days, almost like it was a holiday weekend or something (know it wasn’t!)

Eh? All my WDW trips have been in late August/September and I've always visited both Typhoon and Blizzard pre-covid.

We were there yesterday and it was awful! We’ve been a few times before and loved it but it was too busy to be pleasant. The lazy river was jammed with people by lunchtime. We arrived at 10.30 and left before 1.

They haven't sold any waterpark annual passes this year. This would have helped reduce numbers as they are a huge bargain for locals. The waterparks were always busy in the summer when we went even with both parks open.
