Usually quieter after 3pm ish but more risk of thunderstorms closing down the park / rides (depending on time of year)

We go for the last 2 hours and it's usually quiet - that was pre pandemic though!

Aiming to go for 4/5pm next week and see what it's like.

I’d just advise avoiding Monday as there is a DVC Moonlight Magic event on so will start getting busy from 6pm.

During the 14 days we spent entirely within WDW we spent around half a day in Typhoon Lagoon.

As per the OP - the lazy river was not much fun with hoardes of people standing at each entrance waiting for rings and the rides just felt a bit tired.

I guess, overall, it just felt a poor imitation of Volcano Bay to which we'd made several trips earlier in the holiday.

We used to love Typhoon Lagoon to pieces, and the wave pool is still a big draw, but all of my family would choose Volcano Bay every time now if we had to pick just one waterpark, and that makes me feel a little bit sad.

We are going tomorrow. Normally, I wouldn’t choose a Sunday for a water park but we have park reservations the other days.

I’m not entirely looking forward to it but DS13 wants to go. I’d rather go to Blizzard Beach out of the two.

Anyway, let’s see what it’s like.

We’ve had a great day. I was really pleasantly surprised. Only thing we queued up for was the Mayday Falls ride. Lazy river wasn’t too bad at all and the boys loved the wave pool. I was really expecting it to be busy but it wasn’t.

Just to add on to this. We went to TL today. Rope dropped it and did Miss Adventure Falls and Crush n Gusher several times then lazy river and wave pool. By 11 or soon after, it got really busy and was unpleasantly packed in the lazy river and wave pool. We’re not really sun lounger people so we were happy to leave at that point. We might pop back for rope drop again to do the slides we missed and then head elsewhere as there’s no way we’d spend more than 2 hours there with current crowd levels.
