travel insurance while waiting for procedure

Has anyone had any luck getting travel insurance while waiting for a hospital procedure? Staysure is out as they require the booster and Insurewith wont cover any hospital admissions over there related to the condition

Have you tried the bank account with Nationwide. You can check out all the medical stuff before opening the account either on line or by phone.

Hope you get sorted.

It’s their FlexPlus account and it’s £13 per month, which includes breakdown cover, travel insurance worldwide and mobile phone cover.

I got a quote online first to see what the premium was, over £100 cheaper than anywhere else for my medical so it was a no brainier.

I think the issue is the procedure might not be done before the holiday so most insurers wont offer medical cover

We have the Nationwide Flex Plus Account and Insurance.

My Wife was awaiting a hip replacement and advised them and there was no increase in the premium plus she was covered to travel. However the policy was already in effect so maybe it's different with taking out a new policy knowing a procedure is required. Best of luck.

If you’re on a hospital waiting list for your procedure Saga travel insurance will cover you, that’s who we’ve gone with, I’m waiting for a hip replacement x
