GLA parking - Long stay changed to short stay

Received an email the other day to say my booking in the long stay car park had been cancelled, as the car park was closed.

Blood started to boil until i read on and the booking has been transferred to the short stay.

Has anyone else used this car park? What's availability like?

Yip just back from Gran Canaria and had this too , plenty of spaces when we arrived and was easy to get in and back out. Literally a minute walk to entrance of airport.

I’d always choose short stay. It’s really close to the entrance to the airport. If you have a booking there will be space for you. But as previous poster has said always plenty spaces.

You won’t choose long stay ever again once you have used short stay! 😃
No issues waiting for a bus etc.

No blood boiling please, just chill and enjoy the bonus 👍🏻

It happened to me in May and I’m hoping it happens again in Nov. When I went to the gate it said closed as full. But once I rang the buzzer the guy checked my car reg and opened that barrier. I got a space no bother. 2 sec later I was at check in. No problems at all

I haven’t booked yet but plan to do so this week. Is short stay only an option of they offer it?
