Horrendous Immigration at Tampa

We have been stood in the queue for over hour and half already and looks like will be here well over another hour. Absolutely fuming as security guy opened new lane 2 people behind us and let everyone behind us straight to kiosks. We are now last but one in whole queue. Really thought Tampa would be a better experience to MCO but turns out it's a lot worse 😭

Sorry to hear this. We’re flying to tampa next week but via Boston so will do immigration there which I am now glad of.

I always hate immigration when you arrive, I’ve no idea why it should take so long. I wish they could do it on the plane!

It can be very trying. Flew into Washington on Monday 20 mins. Quite often go through Dublin and arrive and walk straight out , heaven

I'm sure immigration was quicker when you just filled out a card on the plane... technology/Estas seems to have made it worse ...or maybe I'm just looking back with rose tinted glasses...

It was perfect for us 3 weeks ago but we were delayed due to Tampa airport closing so we had a refuel divert to Miami so arrived late. Immigration guys wanted to go home, we were the last international flight so they were very speedy

I wonder if it because Tampa was a lot cheaper to fly into than MCO this year on certain dates.

Although I appreciate it could be a combination of things.

Wonder what it will be like when Virgin start flying into TPA directly.
