Paper Girls - the next Stranger Things?
We started watching this yesterday at DH’s suggestion. He said he had read it was being likened to Stranger Things.
We watched three episodes, then I got a bit fed up with it because the screen is really dark the whole time. I said so after the first episode and DH said, well so far the events have all been at night, so we carrie don. But now it has been three episodes and they have all been dark (literally not figuratively ) despite not all being night time scenes. I am not sure I will carry on, because I am trying so hard to see anything that I couldn’t focus on the story. So has anybody else watched it? Should I persevere?

Apologies if this does not apply as you have a 4k TV already and still have issues - but the biggest shock / pleasure of gonig 4K for me was not the extra pixels that 4K gives you, but the more shades of grey the HDR / Dolby Vision allows you to see.
I too hates dark TV shows as could not see much, but if they are shown in 4k with HDR / DV - I see so much more than I did in HD. Still remember watching the first 10 mins for the orig Star Wars in 4k - and saying "Never seen that before, if used to just be black!". |
