Mobile Disney Ticket Advice assign tickets?

Hi all..
We are off to Florida in a couple of weeks and we're also been invited for next April with friends aswell.. we decided to purchase the annual pass which made sense to cover the 2 trips within in 12 months.. we also thought we might get a sneaky week before we go again in April.. Well we have managed to as we booked 7 days end of Feb in Disney with dining plan.. this now leads to my question... we had to buy the park tickets for the offer and was hoping to not use them in Feb and let the kids use them when we go next April.. but looking on my Disney account that they are connected to my hotel Room.. before I speak to Disney next week do you think it's possible to assign tickets to my kids? Seeing as we have the annual pass and won't need them in Feb.

Thanks all
Chris 👍

Wouldn't have thought so as they are tied to your Dining plan package, not sure why you bought the Free Dining offer ? DDP for 2 for 7 days = £798, 2 14 day Ultimates £860 so it's cost you £62 for free food ?

As we needed tickets for the kids for April 2020 we thought these would be normal 14 day tickets we could use any time in 2020 . So we would have got the dinning for free as we have the annual passes. And would have needed to buy tickets for kids in April

I think (hope!) that they can be reassigned but not until the package starts. We are doing something similar next year, my eldest DS will have an annual pass while we are there for free dining so he won’t be using his ticket. We are hoping to “bank” it for later, either to put towards upgrading his annual at a later date or to transfer to one of us on a future trip. From what I’ve read, a ticket is transferable if unused, no matter whether it was purchased as a package or standalone.

Ok I've done a bit of digging but it may be "bad" news :
With both an Annual Pass and tickets from your package in your account, you should call Disney and ask them to prioritize your tickets so they are used in the correct order. Then you can use the tickets from your package if/when your AP expires.
I'm saying "bad" news as I would read this to be that you are going to have to assign the tickets to yourselves to get them to prioritise them IYKWIM The default option will be that they will use your "Ultimates" before your AP so you need to call & get them to change this but that does leave you with the "Assigned" problem

They will already be assigned to you. What some people do is set up a spare MDE account (e.g “tickets”) and assign to that account. This way you can use your annual without it accidentally starting the 14 Day.

Package tickets ie ones with free dining are usually only valid from the booking start date and will be valid for 14/21 days.
To use the free dining you will need to use the tickets so you would lose the free dining if they could be transferred which I doubt.

Tickets that are part of an onsite free dining package are linked to that package. They are also linked to the person they are assigned to. I believe the tickets have to be first used before you check out from the hotel in that package (i.e. in Feb). MDE should state when the tickets are valid until.

So, I'm afraid I don't think you'll be able to transfer the tickets to someone else for use in April. At least, not normally.

However, it's possible if you contact Disney then they may sort something out for you. Best of luck!
